What am I trying to say here? A cookie (treat/ice cream/unexpected nosh) won’t kill you. It won’t ruin your WHOLE day life week or goals. A whole box of cookies now is pushing it… but if something like this occurs, ENJOY it, then, you move on. Bend a little, but don’t let that one treat break you down and make you throw everything away for the whole day/meal/week.

Be consistent in your goals and habits but if you are stuck somewhere with only a vending machine in sight, make the best choice you can and move on (may I recommend the nuts? I believe in nuts over chips!). If you have a little too much what ever, where ever, realize what brought you to that decision and you’ll be better able to prep the next time you are in that situation or figure out how to NOT be in a situation that prevents you from following your plan to get to your goals.

This goes as well for work-outs. Did you make a plan to exercise every day for an hour? Skipped a day due to travel issues, sickness, oversleeping? Could you only do a half hour? 10 minutes? Try to get some time in at your lunch break or the end of the day, or go a little longer the next time. DON’T beat yourself up! Figure out how to combat the roadblock that stopped you THIS time, and move on!
